In September 2009, Mith Samlanh's outstanding loan balance was $1.135 million. While we were meeting re required repayments, the matching grant provided a foreseeable and much welcomed end date to Mith Samlanh’s financial restrictions, enabling our organization to be significantly closer to economic self-sufficiency. No longer having this debt opens up new doors and opportunities to grow even further, as well as being able to support even more children and youth. The response from our supporters was incredible and Mith Samlanh was able to repay our loan in full via the grant and can continue to focus on what we do best; working with street children and providing opportunities for them to build their futures.
