THE CYTI ALLIANCE

The CYTI Alliance is a worldwide network of organizations that aim at providing the highest standard of services to marginalized urban children and youth, their families and their communities.

The CYTI Alliance has been established by Friends-International to:

• Participate in the global increase of social and economic opportunities available for marginalized children/youth and related groups
• Support partners to increase their standards and/or develop new services
• Ensure that members services are based on the Convention of the Rights of the Child and adopt a developmental approach, and
• Make CYTI Alliance membership a label of quality for its members.

There are currently 20 members and affiliates of the CYTI Alliance in 7 countries (Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Indonesia, Egypt, Mexico and Honduras) who supported 18 200 children and youth in 2008.
