This campaign begins Monday, July 16th and will run for two weeks until Friday, July 27th. All funds raised via sosense.org within this campaign period will be doubled up to a limit of 25,000 Swiss francs (roughly USD $26,000).
All money raised will go to our Mith Samlanh program in Phnom Penh, Cambodia to support our non formal and remedial education programs working with marginalized children to help them back to school.
How could it get any better?
Well, quite surprisingly it has.
Very recently we received fantastic news from a private Australian donor who offered to double any donation for our vital outreach and education work up to USD$120,000. The agreement not only takes into account the Sosense Education matching campaign, but all donations made to Friends-International!
Since 1994 Mith Samlanh (“Friends” in English), our local arm of Friends-International, has been working with disadvantaged Cambodian children, their families and the community to develop creative projects that effectively support them to become independent, productive members of society.
Mith Samlanh offers food, shelter, medical care, training and educational facilities for over 1,800 such children each day, on the streets, in communities and in their centers.
Your support, no matter how small, will go a long way toward building a better future for the marginalized youth we work with.
